The Monmouth County Underdogs aims to enrich the lives of animals by advocating positive, reward based training techniques and tools through education and philanthropic initiatives. We provide financial support, advocacy, and educational resources to local rescue organizations which embrace and promote a positive training philosophy.
Our educational and advocacy efforts are largely focused on challenging the commonly held misconceptions and stereotypes wrongly associated with pit bulls and pit bull type dogs. Consequently, we are particularly affable to supporting rescue organizations that positively promote bully breeds.
In addition to supporting rescue organizations, we seek to provide local dog owners with safe, on-leash socialization opportunities. Our group Meetup walks are scheduled regularly as a means of fostering responsible ownership, and ultimately strengthening the human-animal bond.
Our educational initiatives focus on improving the lives of animals by teaching dog owners how to positively live with their pets. In addition, we strive to dispel commonly held misconceptions and stereotypes wrongly associated with pit bulls and pit bull type dogs.
We provide advocacy, educational, and philanthropic support to local rescue organizations which embrace a positive training philosophy. Rescue groups in need of funding assistance are invited to apply for a grant.
